Virgin EMI / Universal Music Group (UMG) today announced the release of “This Is How (We Want You To Get High)”, a previously unheard and unreleased song from George Michael.

The track, which was recorded during George’s final studio sessions, is his first original material to be shared for seven years.

Ahead of the reissue of Cradle of Filth’s heavy metal classic, ‘Cruelty and the Beast’ on 1st November through Music For Nations, the band have shared a lyric video for the re-mistressed version of ‘Lustmord And Wargasm (The Lick Of Carnivorous Winds)’. Dani Filth comments,
“We chose this song as a first snifter of the beast, as it’s a perfect example of the ‘Re-mistressed’ rerelease. In truth we could’ve chosen any of the tracks from the album, but went with ‘Lustmord And Wargasm (The Lick Of Carnivorous Winds) as it has everything dripping in spades; blast beats, luscious melodies, a massive epic dropdown section, eerie orchestration, hardcore riffs and a vicious bite that will rip your f**king face clean off. And the lyric video… well it’s a lyric video. It’s a video with lyrics, albeit the epilogue of an epic tale concerning the Hungarian Blood Countess Elizabeth Bathory.So. turn it up to eleven, recline back in your bath of warm virgin’s effluent and let this awesome new mix of our classic album steal away with your immortal soul!   Denn die toten reiten schnell. For the dead travel fast…..”

Cradle of Filth keyboardist and vocalist LINDSAY SCHOOLCRAFT, has now released a lyric video for her song “See The Light”. The track is from her upcoming album Martyr which will be released in October and features a guest appearance from Xenoyr of  Ne Obliviscaris.  The album was co-written with  former Evanescence drummer Rocky Gray.

Lindsay commented “I knew I wanted to have a duet on this album somewhere and the more I completed composing “See The Light” with Rocky Gray the more I knew Xenoyr needed to appear on it. Sometimes if you want to say something loudly it has to be screamed harshly and the more I reflected on the lyrics the more I heard many of our shared conversations. This song is open to interpretation, but I wrote it back in 2016 when it was prevalent that greed and prejudice were more valued globally over compassion and doing the right thing. Those difficult times for the world inspired this song greatly.”

Carrying on with already
impressive 2019, Maltese extreme metal quintet Bound To Prevail have unveiled

Scottish alternative emo quartet DUDE TRIPS have revealed the lyric video for their new single ‘In Between Days’, the latest track to be taken from their debut album Through Love & Death, You’re All I Have Left released on 31st May 2019 via Side Mission Records.

Commenting on the track, bassist and vocalist Jamie Mathers says: “I remember being in the studio, hearing the pre-chorus and looking round to the band, and everybody had the feeling that this could be a single. Just that feel-good moment when creating music.”

“It started out being about missing someone when a long term relationship of mine struggled to stick. During the writing of the song it ended badly—from then on the main theme changed to anger. It’s probably the first song I had written for the record, and it blew my mind how different it was for us as a band musically. I’m a huge fan of Boston Manor, so I guess I was listening to them loads at the time.”
