UK TECH-FEST has announced its second wave of bands for the four-day event at the Newark showground on 2nd-6th July 2019.

Two headlines are announced: Progressive metal giants The Ocean Collective on the Saturday and US metalcore-djent quintet Reflections who make their UK debut (UK Exclusive) on the Friday.

Other key additions include metalcore stalwarts For the Fallen Dreams (UK Exclusive) and much hyped UK band Loathe.

All Points East is excited to reveal that Thom Yorke will join the Massive Attack line-up as a special guest on Sunday May 24th, in what will be a special solo performance from one of music’s most eminent individuals.

Unlike his current Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes tour, where the Radiohead frontman is accompanied by Nigel Godrich and visual artist Tarik Barr, his set at Victoria Park will see him take the stage solo – performing tracks from his own back-catalogue as well as Radiohead’s in a never-seen-before way.

Thom was invited personally by good friends and fellow trailblazers Massive Attack to accompany them on May 24, and joins an already incredible billing of Nils Frahm, Young Fathers, Neneh Cherry, Sevdaliza, Fatoumata Diawara, TNGHT, GAIKA, Skinny Pelembe, Hotel Lux and Mad Professor. This is one not to be missed.

Also added to the May 24th bill are Alfa Mist and Jacques Greene…

Rewind The 80s Music Festival is excited to announce the headline DJs for the all new Club Tropicana tent (where the drinks aren’t free!). At Rewind Scotland and Rewind North Club Tropicana will be headlined by Pat Sharp on Friday, Gary Davies on Saturday and Bruno Brookes on Sunday. Once again Pat Sharp will headline the tent on Friday at Rewind South while Mark Goodier keeps the party going on Saturday and Gary Davies on Sunday.

“Where strangers take you by the hand, and welcome you to wonderland”, ‘Club Tropicana’ is brand new for 2020, and is a fun packed mega club under a massive big top tent! Expect the evening’s entertainment to feature live performances, special guests, bespoke stage set, 80s inspired decor, special effects and, of course, a full bar… so you can continue the party into the night!

Rewind Scotland will celebrate its 10-year-anniversary at Scone Palace in Perth from Friday 17th – Sunday 19th July 2020. On Friday 31st July 2020, Rewind North returns to Capesthorne Hall in Macclesfield and concludes on Sunday 2nd August 2020. Last but not least, Rewind South will round up the 80s summer celebrating everything 80s at Temples Island Meadows in Henley-on-Thames from Friday 14th – 16th August 2020.

All three festivals will close on Saturday with Jimmy Somerville’s Big Band-Tastic Boogie – a show especially created for the festivals – and Wet Wet Wet on the Sunday.  The festival will also see performances by Billy Ocean, Bananarama, Trevor Horn Band, Nick Heyward, Roland Gift of Fine Young Cannibals, Hue And Cry, Grandmaster Flash, The Christians, Pete Wylie – The Mighty Wah! and John Parr.

Each festival will be opened by a unique show celebrating 50 years since the formation of one of the world’s greatest rock bands – Queen. Queen Symphonic features a full symphony orchestra, a fantastic rock band and four soloist’s from the international productions of the musical We Will Rock You performing some of Queen’s greatest hits including We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio Ga Ga, We Are The Champions, A Kind Of Magic and many more.

Rewind Scotland’s stellar anniversary line-up is completed by Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Heather Small, Shalamar featuring Howard Hewett, Jeffrey Daniel & Carolyn Griffey, Limahl, From The Jam, The Blow Monkeys, Altered Images, T’Pau, and Owen Paul.

At Rewind North, Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Heather Small, Shalamar featuring Howard Hewett, Jeffrey Daniel & Carolyn Griffey, Nik Kershaw, Heaven 17, Go West, Altered Images, Katrina From Katrina & The Waves, and China Crisis will play on the main stage.

Audiences at Rewind South will see additional performances by Soul II Soul, Go West, Nik Kershaw, Cutting Crew, Peter Hook & The Light, Limahl, Captain Sensible, Aswad and Katrina From Katrina & The Waves.

Following on from the
previous announcements – Tame Impala (Saturday May 23), Massive Attack (Sunday
May 24), Kraftwerk (Friday May 29) and The Kooks & The Wombats (Saturday
May 30), All Points East can reveal  Bombay Bicycle Club as the latest headliners,
performing on Friday May 22.

Joining them are Loyle Carner, Lianne La Havas, Everything Everything, Nadine Shah, Nick Hakim, Nilufer Yanya, The Orielles, Gengahr and Liz Lawrence with more to be announced!
